Dr. Michael Cheung
Dr. Michael Cheung was born and raised in the suburbs of Vancouver (the Canadian one) in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. In 2006, Dr. Mike suffered a low back injury while snowboarding which resulted in nagging back pain that just would not go away.
After spending years of trying to reduce the chronic back pain with stretching and exercise, he was introduced to chiropractic at 16 years of age by his older sister, who is also now a practicing chiropractor. Not only did chiropractic help him live without low back pain, but he also noticed other benefits, such as deeper sleep (due to no pain!) and, as a result, better workouts in the gym.
Inspired by the changes he saw with his personal experience with chiropractic, he decided to spend his undergraduate studies in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and subsequently made the move out to San Francisco to pursue his chiropractic degree. Dr. Mike graduated with honors from Life Chiropractic College West with a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2018 and has been in practice in the Pacific Northwest ever since.
As an avid powerlifter, Dr. Mike is heavily invested in knowing how to make the human body operate at peak performance. He loves working with athletes of all ages and levels so that they can perform at their best. He believes that the balance between stress and self-care is the key to optimal health and having regular chiropractic care will definitely help combat some of the stresses of everyday life, work and play.
When he is not in the gym training for a powerlifting competition or chasing his mini-Aussie, Finnegan, with his wife, Dr. Jacqueline (also a DC!), you can find him going for a scenic drive to the coast or taking pictures of the beautiful PNW!
