Job Title: Chiropractic Physician
Clinic Locations: Salem and Woodburn
Where I grew up: Albert City, Iowa. A tiny speck on the map among the cornfields of America’s heartland
First Jobs: Bagging groceries at the local store
If I wasn’t a chiropractor, I would be: a wilderness guide/survival instructor and search and rescue medic
Favorite junk food: Anything gummy
In my free time I enjoy: camping, hiking, going the beach, shooting range, golfing, reading, wine tasting, trying new restaurants
Favorite song: I consider that impossible to answer. I love anything from the 80s 90s and early 2000s
Why I became a chiropractor: After getting degrees in other fields and working in other professions I found myself yearning for a greater challenge and a more meaningful career. I had a great experience with a chiropractor in my teenage years when one visit to my family chiropractor cured my chronic headaches. That experience stuck with me and knew I wanted a profession that was not only challenging but also allowed me to have an impact on people’s lives.
Why I love what I do: I’m a quintessential lifetime student. I would probably go to school forever if it was free! The human body is utterly fascinating and as a doctor the learning never ends. Being able to take that knowledge and apply it to change someones life is extremely rewarding. The best part is watching the progress of someone who comes into the office with little to no hope and leaves with the attitude of having their life restored.
